Is my Branding Good Enough? The 9 questions you need to ask yourself

On an average day consumers are exposed to 6,000 advertisements and each year, to more than 25,000 new products… Brands help consumers cut through the proliferation of choices available in every product and service category.Scott M.Davis

And that’s what we all want for our brand. We all want our product or service to be the ‘go to’ brand of choice.

But how do you know if your branding is working well for your business? If you are currently reading this from your yacht while sailing around the Med, then it’s probably safe to say that you have got your branding right.

For the rest of us however, the following nine questions will help us rate our branding:

Ask yourself…

  1. Does my brand have vision?
  2. Does it have meaning?
  3. Is it authentic?
  4. Is it different?
  5. Is it sustainable?
  6. Does it have coherence?
  7. Is it flexible?
  8. Does it have commitment?
  9. Does it add value?

If you got nine ‘yes’ answers, pat yourself on the back, enjoy the sunshine in the Med and keep up the good work. If you didn’t get the full nine ‘yes’ answers, don’t worry. There are lots of things you can do to improve your branding.

Here are some things to keep in mind while you are working out your branding strategy:

Your branding should be bold, memorable and appropriate. It should provide a consistent image of your business and clearly communicate the tone of your business. It should have enduring value. It should work well across print and online media. But most of all it should be immediately recognisable.

Strong visuals are crucial to your brand development. And that’s where we can help.
